Trust: The Core Catalyst for Collaboration

March 2nd

Featuring: Dave Young and Boyd Lyon

Leadership Academy Pillar: COLLABORATIVE or ETHICAL

As a word, trust evokes powerful emotions in people, often stemming from a mixture of experience, societal standards, and individual risk sensitivities.  As a concept, trust has many colors and variations that are not well calibrated across individuals.  Despite this, trust is critical to positive human relationships and crucial to successful organizational endeavors.  In this workshop, Dave Young and Boyd Lyon pointed out the myths and truths associated with trust—a complex duality that provides a rich area for exploration!  Participation dramatically increased one's awareness of how trust works in the real world, particularly in organizational (business) settings, and how the level of trust can impact probability of positive progress.
