Suit Camp 2017

February 2nd (3:00-5:45pm)

CH2M Hill Alumni Center

Leadership Academy Pillar: PROFESSIONAL

Suit Camp is a unique experience open to all OSU College of Engineering students.  It is geared to help students practice their skills with a broad array of industry leaders, as well as enhance their ability to interact effectively in professional settings.

New in 2017, Suit Camp attendees will be required to attend a pre-event training workshop that provides coaching on interviewing best practices along with how to optimize professional networking opportunities (what to wear, what to bring and wear to put it, how to navigate space and conversation, food and drink do's and don'ts).  Students will register to attend one of five offerings for this 45 minute workshop when they register for Suit Camp.

Suit Camp participants will:

-Engage in training on interviewing skills and how to navigate professional networking settings

-Practice interviewing with professionals through mock-interviews

-Receive feedback to improve future performance (dialogue/rubric completed by professionals)

-Practice these newly learned skills with professionals during a networking social with hors d’oeuvres

ADVANCE REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED.  Walk ins are welcome and will be slotted for mock interviews on a standby basis.  Please email Dr. Scott Paja (scott.paja@oregonstate.edu) if you have questions.
