Mentoring Interviews

Students in the Academy will complete a minimum of 3 informational interviews with professional engineers and members of industry with roles/careers they aspire to.

MENTORS

Students in the Academy can work with Dr. Scott Paja to identify good potential mentor contacts.  There are many professionals who have already expressed their willingness to engage with Academy members in this way.  Students may also choose to identify and contact mentors not identified by Dr. Paja.  Either way, students will provide documentation of the interaction and engage in intentional mental processing of the interaction and implications for leadership via their account in the Leadership Portal.

Resources for how to write a meeting request to a potential mentor and structure for the mentoring interview are also provided for Academy members in the Leadership Portal.
