Intercultural Teams – Lessons from Working Internationally

Experienced leader and businessman, Randy Smith pulled from his illustrious career and wealth of experiences working internationally in cross-cultural contexts to illuminate the realities of working in an ever more connected global economy. Student Leadership Learned about potential challenges that can arise, as well as ways to protect against and overcome those barriers to uncover the potential achieved by inclusive interaction that capitalizes on difference.

Now retired, Mr. Smith has served in a spectrum of professional roles over the course of his career--most recently as President for Industrial and Advanced Technology at CH2M-HILL. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Structural Engineering from Oregon State University and an Executive Studies Credential in Business Administration and Management from Harvard Business School.
