New employees have a lot to learn: their job, processes, coworkers, supervisors’ expectations. Most employees quickly develop an understanding of their position and perform well. However, a few will rise at an accelerated pace. Developing a strategy for successfully creating the right kind of visibility for oneself among decision makers is crucial for getting on the fast track. Students learned how to develop a strategy that is compatible with their goals and personality.   

Michael Hermens is currently a Senior Manager at Capgemini Consulting, leading the Organizational Change Management practice within North America. He has worked in the consulting industry for over 20 years in the Financial Services, Manufacturing, Wholesale, and Energy Industries with clients such as: Chase Bank, Abn Amro, Allstate, Chevron, Rheem and Telstra.

Hermens holds an MBA from Oregon State University, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Eastern Oregon University. He currently resides in the Dallas, Texas area.
